Several years back, I found some stunningly beautiful fabric that I felt needed to be made into a corset. I suppose I was missing my time in the costume shops! My friend was getting married and I thought this would be a fun thing to wear to the wedding. And I wanted the challenge! From adapting the pattern through sizing, cutting, assembling, running the bones, lining, adding the grommets for the lacing, binding off the edges and finishing... it was a huge job! It took over two weeks, full time. I still love the result, even if there are few places to wear such a garment! :-)
